Circle 1: Kick-Off & Icebreakers
Meet the other moms in your circle, and start building the support system you'll lean on throughout the next five weeks. We'll spend time getting to know one another, sharing birth stories if you're ready, and talking about the unique transition from one child to two.
Circle 2: Baby Development & Tummy Time
With your first baby, you probably spent hours on the floor doing tummy time. This time around, you're likely splitting your day between school drop-offs, activities, and making sure your toddler doesn't accidentally tackle the baby. Dr. Brittany Zis, PT, DPT, C/NDT, will lead a tummy time class and share realistic ways to fit developmental play into your busy days. She'll also refresh your memory on common questions like: When do I stop swaddling? Is my baby's head shape normal? When should I be concerned about milestones?
Circle 3: Feeding Baby #2
Feeding struggles with a second baby are incredibly common and often look completely different than they did the first time around. Between managing a newborn's needs and a toddler demanding your attention, feeding can feel more complicated than ever. Our feeding specialist (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant) will answer your questions and share practical tips for breastfeeding, pumping, bottle feeding, combination feeding, and everything in between.
Circle 4: The Mental Load of Two
The postpartum experience after your second baby comes with a completely different set of emotional challenges. Balancing the needs of two children, feeling pulled in multiple directions, managing guilt over divided attention, and functioning on even less sleep can take a toll. A maternal mental wellness specialist or perinatal mental health expert will lead an open discussion on navigating this season, caring for yourself, and recognizing when it's time to ask for additional support.
Circle 5: Pelvic Floor & Returning to Activity
Second-time moms often experience different pelvic floor concerns due to previous pregnancies, cumulative muscle strain, and the everyday demands of carrying both a growing baby and an active toddler. Dr. Amy Meehan, founder of Revelle Physical Therapy, will cover everything you need to know about pelvic floor recovery, core healing, and safely returning to exercise. She'll also perform diastasis recti (DR) checks and help properly fit and adjust baby carriers for maximum comfort and support.
Circle 6: TBD
