January 2027 - Atlanta GA - 4th Trimester *2nd Time Mom's Circle*

from $300.00

Who: Postpartum moms who are expected to give birth in the three months leading up to the first circle. Though babies are not required to attend, they are encouraged! We encourage you sign up in advance of giving birth as our circles regularly sell out. If you end up delivering early, late or any issues arise, we are happy to move you to another circle pending availability. It is always better to book early and push out to a later circle as there is likely more flexibility with future circles.

Dates: Circle meets 1x a week for 6 weeks. January 8, January 15, January 22, January 29, February 5, February 12

Time: 10:00 AM

Address: Luma Dance - 4920 Roswell Road (in North Buckhead/South Sandy Springs in the Fountain Oak Shopping Center)

Topics Covered + Specialist Visits

Circle 1: Friday, January 8 at 10:00 AM: Kick-Off & Icebreakers
Meet the other moms in your circle, and start building the support system you'll lean on throughout the next five weeks. We'll spend time getting to know one another, sharing birth stories if you're ready, and talking about the unique transition from one child to two.

Circle 2: Friday, January 15 at 10:00 AM: Feeding Baby #2
Feeding struggles with a second baby are incredibly common and often look completely different than they did the first time around. Between managing a newborn's needs and a toddler demanding your attention, feeding can feel more complicated than ever. Our feeding specialist, Kara Pernice (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant), will answer your questions and share practical tips for breastfeeding, pumping, bottle feeding, combination feeding, and everything in between.

Circle 3: Friday, January 22 at 10:00 AM: The Mental Load of Two
The postpartum experience after your second baby comes with a completely different set of emotional challenges. Balancing the needs of two children, feeling pulled in multiple directions, managing guilt over divided attention, and functioning on even less sleep can take a toll. A maternal mental wellness specialist or perinatal mental health expert will lead an open discussion on navigating this season, caring for yourself, and recognizing when it's time to ask for additional support.

Circle 4: Friday, January 29 at 10:00 AM: Baby Development & Tummy Time
With your first baby, you probably spent hours on the floor doing tummy time. This time around, you're likely splitting your day between school drop-offs, activities, and making sure your toddler doesn't accidentally tackle the baby. Dr. Brittany Zis, PT, DPT, C/NDT, will lead a tummy time class and share realistic ways to fit developmental play into your busy days. She'll also refresh your memory on common questions like: When do I stop swaddling? Is my baby's head shape normal? When should I be concerned about milestones?

Circle 5: Friday, February 5 at 10:00 AM: Pelvic Floor & Returning to Activity
Second-time moms often experience different pelvic floor concerns due to previous pregnancies, cumulative muscle strain, and the everyday demands of carrying both a growing baby and an active toddler. Dr. Amy Meehan, founder of Revelle Physical Therapy, will cover everything you need to know about pelvic floor recovery, core healing, and safely returning to exercise. She'll also perform diastasis recti (DR) checks and help properly fit and adjust baby carriers for maximum comfort and support.

Circle 6: Friday, February 12 at 10:00 AM: Postpartum Nutrition and Q&A with Postpartum Doula, Penny Gilchrist
You've made it to the final circle, and we're celebrating with the thing every postpartum mom needs most: real food and real answers. Leslie Bobo-Kiesel, dietitian and creator of the food blog The Gathering Page, will kick things off with a session on postpartum nutrition. She'll cover how to nourish your body after birth, from what to eat for energy and healing to simple, realistic ways to feed yourself when you're running on little sleep and a toddler is mid-meltdown. Whether you're breastfeeding, pumping, or just trying to remember to eat lunch, you'll leave with easy, practical ideas that fit into your life with two.

Then Penny Gilchrist, postpartum doula, will lead an open Q&A. Penny has supported countless families through the newborn season, so bring everything you've been saving up: sleep, recovery, routines, sibling adjustment, or anything else on your mind. We'll also take time to celebrate how far you've come together and talk about how to keep your circle connected after the six weeks wrap up.
